We are currently planning our 3rd Shop & Hop event on Main Street for Friday, July 21 from 4-7:00 pm. We will be inviting people to Shop & Hop around Main Street to see what Springfield has to offer! Please sign up to participate. If you are a business on Main Street, please sign up and stay open during the event! If you are a business not on Main, we have reserved the Springfield Community Center for you to have a booth or space there. Thank you so much for participating and supporting Springfield!

Thank you for your participation in the upcoming Springfield Business Association Shop and Hop. We are looking forward to our 3rd year of this event and are planning on it being better than ever! This year, our event will take place along Main Street and inside the Community Building on July 21st from 4-7 PM. This event is open to the public and we invite you to share it with all of your business networks, customers, and friends!
Set up-begins inside the Community Building at 3 PM. An 8 foot table and 2 chairs will be provided for you.
Best of Booth/ Storefront Competition- We would like to invite those setting up in the community building to participate in the “Best Booth” competition and be entered to win a free 1 Year SBA Membership! You can dress up your booth with decorations, hand out
samples, or do anything special to win this special recognition! For those with a Storefront along Main Street- we didn’t forget about you! We have a “Most Welcoming Business” competition going for you to enter for a free 1 Year SBA membership as well!
Bingo and Scavenger Hunt-Each booth and storefront will receive Bingo Cards, Stickers and Scavenger Hunt cards to hand out to those attending. These will be passed out to the storefronts prior to start time. We are asking each business and booth to place a sticker on the Bingo square representing your business for guests. These Bingo cards will also have a space to vote for the Best Booth and Most Welcoming Business on them. To help increase traffic to the Main Street Businesses this year, we are also adding a scavenger hunt! Five Main Street businesses will receive an official SBA Shop and Hop Bunny to place in their store (that is fairly easy to see). Shoppers can circle the 5 businesses that had a Shop and Hop Bunny inside on their scavenger hunt card. All cards will be turned in by shoppers to the Community Building head table by 6:50 PM. A winner will be drawn at the end of the event and notified.
Special Promotions- Many businesses will be offering a special or promotion of some sort during the event. If you have something you would like to promote that you want shared on our facebook page, please email nichole.baugh@spcne.org ASAP for the form. Some past examples are: Buy 5, get one free, 15% off any order placed during the event, free travel size with purchase of full size, $10 off $50 purchase, gift with purchase etc. Also, many like to include a special giveaway at their table or store. This is a great opportunity to collect names and do your drawing at the end of the event on your own page!
Mega Basket Giveaway-One of the highlights is the giant basket/s we give away at the end of the event! Entries are gained by those who visit each booth and storefront to collect stickers on their Bingo cards. Please consider a contribution to this basket. Each business that donates is listed for their donation and shared on a social media shout out as well. Past examples included: product donations, gift certificates from your business or gift certificates to other SBA businesses on behalf of you, branded swag from your business, or a monetary donation etc. If you are able to donate to the Mega Basket, please email Diane Sullivan at orgstation@live.com to make arrangements. She can provide you with details on where to drop off or arrange pick up.
Non-Members- We are thrilled to have you participating! You can pay your $50 vendor fee by Check, Venmo, or Paypal. Deadline to have payment submitted is July 19th. Please use the QR Codes below. Checks may be made to SBA and mailed to PO Box 185, Springfield, NE 68059. However, have you considered an SBA membership? The Shop and Hop fee is FREE for members, along with the Making Spirits Bright Community Event, Mittens & Mingle Holiday Gathering, monthly networking events, business listing in our directory and other marketing opportunities for your business!
